G.A.I.N.S. Educational Advocacy is committed to serving students, families, and educators by pursuing truth, equity, and access in education. We identify and close learning gaps, support the faithful implementation of services, and equip parents and educators to advocate with wisdom, clarity, and integrity—always keeping the best interest of the child at the center of every decision.
We envision a community where every child is seen, supported, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential; where families are confident advocates; and where educators are equipped and supported—working together in unity to create systems that reflect justice, compassion, and purposeful care for every learner.
I am an advocate, educator, and partner for families navigating the complexities of the education system. With over a decade of experience in public education and years of private tutoring in reading and math, I have seen firsthand how easily students can fall through the gaps—not because people don’t care, but because systems are often difficult to navigate and support is not always clear. My work is rooted in a simple belief:
Every child deserves access to the support they need to succeed.
I have 11 years in public education and 5 years in private tutoring. I specialize in the Science of Teaching Reading but can tutor PK-6 reading, writing and math.
Expert in:
IEPs (Special Education)
504 Plans
RTI/MTSS processes
I have worked across multiple educational settings, including: public schools, private schools, charter schools and homeschool environments.
One of the biggest challenges families face is feeling like they have to choose a side.
You don’t.
My role is to bridge the gap between home and school by:
Translating educational language into clear, understandable terms
Helping families communicate effectively with schools
Supporting educators in understanding student needs
Because when communication improves, outcomes improve.
